The Gods Orchestrate a Match Betwen Shiva and Gauri - 17th Century Rajput Painting

Parvati seated in a shrine while being addressed by winged Rati and the god Indra (identified by his many eyes and by his elephant). Kama (the Indian Cupid) and his wife, Rati, approach Shiva, who sits meditating in a bower. Kama aims his arrow at Shiva. Another yellow-skirted figure (possibly also Shiva) appears in the upper right corner.
