Gaganendranath Tagore (Bengali: গগনেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর) (September 18, 1867 -1938) was an Indian painter and cartoonist of the Bengal school. He belongs to the Tagore family and was born at Jorasanko Calcutta.
Gaganendranath is the eldest son of Gunendranath who is the son of Girindranath who is again the second son of "Prince' Dwarkanath Tagore. Along with his brother Abanindranath Tagore, he was counted as one of the earliest modern artists in India.
Gaganendranath wrote an all time classic for the children called "Bhondor bahadur" .
He was a nephew of Nobel Prize winning poet Rabindranath Tagore. (Wikipedia)
